Denver Garden Railway Society and the Colorado Railroad Museum
Construction of a permanent garden railway started at the Colorado Railroad Museum in 1996, and is a continuing cooperative project of DGRS and CRRM. All members are invited to participate in the effort, funded through proceeds from the national convention and donations. Operations on the railway are limited to DGRS members. The public can view the installation during museum hours (every day from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.). The Museum's Operations Days include operation of DGRS' G scale garden railway, located behind the museum building. There is also a small gauge live steamers layout along side the G scalers. They run on steam up days and the locomotives, though live steam, are radio controlled. Below are various views of the layout. The picture of the double loop on stilts is used by the live steamers.
